I thought for sure there would be a thread for posting honest boat reviews.
Anyone have experience with these boats I am considering or know of honest articles on them?..........
Wintech Explorer 24
Peinert Dolphin 24
Durham ruus-1 24
Pro Am Elite 25
I have rowed a Dolphin. I am sure they get a lot of praise but I am not crazy about the rigger or the flimzy way it is u-bolted in, guranteed to crack and the one at the rowing club already has a split foot strecther. I think they are overpriced. My honest opinion.
Others are hard to tell going just by a couple internet pictures. A lot of money to spend for a boat that you may or may not like. Not feasible to try them all out, some are thousands of miles away.
Anyway, thanks for any input.
Rec/Trainer Boat Reviews?
Re: Rec/Trainer Boat Reviews?
I hope that you get some good responses to this, but I think that this is not the best forum for such a question, since it based on the C2 indoor rower with only an occasional message about OTW rowing. Surely there must be a website that is devoted to OTW rowing that would be more likely to get you the results you are seeking.fishbust wrote:I thought for sure there would be a thread for posting honest boat reviews.

Boats...
I do agree Bob, I didn't know where to put the question.
I think row2k should have a forum.
I need to buy a new (or used) boat for the upcoming rowing season. Don't want to just draw straws on which one to buy. Looking down the road when I want to move up into a different boat, don't want to find myself stuck trying to sell a boat that is undesirable to most people.
Most other links and sites are just small local rowing clubs.
Will keep looking. Thanks.
