max Heart rate rowing

Post by btlnorway » January 11th, 2015, 10:11 am

Hi.
I only have a garmin belt connected to the PM and not a watch.
I'm 32years old and my max heartrate should be 188 when using 220-age formula. I know this formula is a bit unsure.
the highest HR I have reached on the indoorrower is 177 after a 4 min max row. 1:40 avg pr 500m.
I guess it may be harder/impossible to reach maxpuls on a indoor rower due to compressed chest?
Age: 33yrs. Hgt: 193cm. Wgt: 100kg.

The rule is nonsense, search a bit where it comes from. Ones max is ones max, it can be way above 220 minus age and also below. http://indoorsportservices.co.uk/forum/index.php
Erging is perfectly fine to reach very high hf, compression plays no role.
