i wanted to know if anyone had any recommendations on wireless headphones to use for erging.

I use these Paid about US$65 after a bit if searching online and they work great.

I second the recommendation from Dave. I bought the same after his advice, and they work great.
Started with my Model D on June 11, 2007

Yes. They will work with any sound device that has a 1/8" output jack.

In fact, they come with adaptors to fit iPods without the use of a short cable like I need to use with my computer.

I should have axed this too...

I run (treadmill) also. Do you suppose they would stay on my head while running w/o a lot of dinking around?

They have soft rubber loops that your ears go through and the band sits at the top of your neck rather than on top of your head. Should stay on no trouble.

While not wireless - the ipod shuffle is only $49 now. I've been using mine, just clip it on the neck of my shirt and I don't even notice it.
