New User Concept 2 D!

Hello

Have just ordered a new C2 D after trying one at the gym!

First row fitness test, 4 minutes - 1180 m - after 20 mins bike/running
2000 m in 6.50

Is that a good start? new to this rowing lark! but do cardio 5/6 days a week + weights

Resting HR 40 ish max 195 age 32 - Vo2 60ish

Congrats on ordering a C2! It's an awsome machine (got mine a week ago.) As far as your time - :shock: !

Check out the on-line stats from the C2 site. If I'm reading the US stats correctly, that would put you at about #36 out of over 500 listed rankings. . . .and no, I won't share my 2000m time (lol) However, I have logged 70k meters in the first week. Enjoy your new ERG,

What is it that got you in shape?

VO2Max in the 6.0 range is quite good (is that absolute or relative to wieght in Kg?). It's also not something that most even know. :wink:

Congratulations! Now the next step is to make sure that you are using the proper technique, especially keeping the damper at a reasonable setting (3-5?) and taking your time on the recovery part of each stroke.

Good start? It's damned close to a good finish! Puts you in the top 20% for your age group.

But it gets harder and harder to lower your time once sub 7:00 so be thankful for small gains. You earn them at that level. Erg on!

Racing driver so keep fit, cardio etc. VO2 is tested from my Polar F11 :-)

Thanks for the info/comments guys!! but does this sound right??

I can hit 1.36 but am rowing at 38spm! would it be better to row at a slower rate ? high rates seen fine to me and doing 25 spm seems slow?

I can keep the high rate going for 30 minutes @ say 1.50 and 36spm

5.11 and 78kg's
