Some of the lightweight Brits (men) are going to attempt to set the 100K relay record on Sunday. Follow this link for details: http://www.concept2.co.uk/forum/viewtop ... &start=510

They have decided to do the row for the charity NSPCC which helps protect children from abuse. You can support NSPCC and indoor rowing by giving them some money.

Fantastic. What's the relay leg duration and hand off technique to pull that sort of time!

10 strokes on & rotate between 9 people with 1 person resting for 10 mins. You end up with about 2 rests in the whole 4hr-5hrs.
With only 9 people & rating about 60spm, you end up with 1 go every 90 seconds or so. Most of us were pulling 1:18-1:20 most of the time, with a max pull (by me  ) of 1:14 during the event. The avg 1:23.7 will be hard to beat and will take a dedicated team to train for it.
