Hi all,
Just signed up to the Forum.
Just thought I'd introduce myself and say hello. I'm from the North East of England. I've trained on the Concept 2 rower for many years but recently stepped up my usage massively in preparation for an upcoming challenge. A friend and I are competing in the 2015 Talisker Whisky Challenge. For those who don't know that is a cross Atlantic Rowing race. We are entered in the pairs class. 3000 miles in shifts of 2 hours rowing, 2 hours sleeping, 24 hours a day.
We are both rowing novices and have a lot to learn. I'm hoping to pick up tips on rowing from here and also hopefully get involved in a few challenges. I may well be running a few fundraisers of my own in the run up to the race and maybe I will get a few ideas for those.
I'm not a traditional rowers build as I'm only 5'11" tall but what I lack in height I tend to make up for in stubbornness. I've completed Ironman Triathlons and many Marathons and other endurance events. I'm not a sprinter. More a diesel engine
Looking forward to reading some good stuff in here.
Sean
