Dead, but not fully buried.

This forum has become lifeless, when Dwayne, Chad, Ranger and John Rupp where on here it was buzzing, but look at it now. I never see more than 6 people logged in at any one time. 44 is the maximum number of people logged on at any one time.
People said that the Chad & Rupp type characters ruined the forum, it looks the opposite was true, as the forum is now ruined because they are no longer contributing.
So it looks like it has all backfired on the do-gooders.
Well done for spoiling it for the rest of us!

You've got a good point there Max!!
Do you have plan to fire things up again???
I think lots of people are on the UK forum now.

It could be that because they were on here so many people lost interest they either gave up on this forum or in rowing altogether, or both.

Well if that is the case I find in extraordinary that the Dwayne v Chad topics had the most replies/comments on them from such a diverse number of forum members.
It seems a case of the “politically correct do-gooders” versus those with “common sense”.
Yet again, the people who think that everyone needs wrapping up in cotton wool to protect them from the evils of this world win again.
How about some of you trying to understand that not everybody shares the same ideas on life, learn to except that, instead of bullying people away from public forums.
Who is your next target to bully?...................probably me.

What on earth are you talking about. I had minimal involvement in the debates. I viewed quite a few of the posts but got so bored and fed up with it all that I have hardly logged on here for many weeks.

Max,
I guess that is true if the reason you come to this forum is to watch a small handfull of people argue like school children. and not to share or get advice. I didn't see any of the posters you referenced actually contributing usefull information.
If you like that sort of thing, go check out Letsrun.com. You will love it. It's actually not a bad forum but most of the threads usually turn into a pissing match between trollers.

By writing what you have, you're suggesting that you know what this forum should be. Think about that. Others here may have different ideas about what value this forum brings to them. If one doesn't like what's being written, one can opt out, not read a string or topic, ignore certain participants, etc. I'm not sure the answer is, "Go somewhere else if you don't like it the way I do."
Just an alternative view.

The decline in activity has more to do with the closing of the old forum after the hacking than from any other factor. A lot of members don't seem to have bothered with registering for the new one and others were slow in doing it. Most of the very active posters seem to have switched over to the UK forum which is booming at this time.

I gotso tired of the little pitter patter of pratle. I have found more interest in Tyn's weekly polls. Which are becoming better every week.

Max, some people find it hard to debate an issue; they would rather run away and hide. Certain persons' did not have any answers to my questions, so they resulted to name calling and subject changing.
They are just life’s losers.

I'm embarrassed because posts like these are the ones that usually motivate me to post on the forum. I've written and re-written scathing responses (or maybe not so scathing) to this little trade off but have decided to restrain from actually posting the response. I will say that I don't think the forum has suffered at all because of the decrease in trash posts.
