You should always see the worst in people until they prove you otherwise.
This pretty much says it all about Chad. I for one am 99% sure that Dwayne's times are fabricated so please don't put me in the camp of a Dwayne supporter. I however find Chad's personal vendetta to be much more appaling than any fabricated times. I generally steer clear of the banter but do admit to reading all the responses and back and forth between Chad and the Anti-Chad's. I know this has been mentioned before but why doesn't everyone just ignore him? Stop responding to his damn posts! Every time you respond to him, he accomplishes his goal of getting under your skin. The only conclusion that I can draw is that those who regularly reply to his posts must actually enjoy the back and forth fighting otherwise they would just ignore him.

If everyone were to ingnore Chad, he would either go away or demonstrate that he is a twisted, sick, obsessed human and continue to post rants that no one responds to.

So those of you (and there really are only about a half dozen) that have so much hatred towards Chad, either stop responding or admit that you really enjoy the back and forth fighting in which case, you are really just as sick, twisted and PATHETIC as Chad.

A self imposed forum dictator, do people tell you when to and not to post? Well don’t tell them?

Hi Rockies,

Are you throwing up or what are the symptoms.

I hope you get over being sick and get back with your rowing again soon.

I don't think I've ever said I hate Chad, and yes I do enjoy arguing with him. Thrust and counter-thrust. That's why I didn't take the "pledge" or whatever it was. I don't consider myself or Chad "sick" or "twisted". He has a view, I have another one. I don't like his manner, and don't agree with his point of view, but he does have a right to air it on here (although I'd rather he didn't). Whether he or I are open to pity is for each individual reader to determine for themselves. =)

I posted this on another sub-thread and realized that it might better serve on this one.

Why do I read these posts? Well, they are entertaining.

If I may draw an analogy, they are sort of like pro wrestling. In 'rasslin' two guys mug for cameras and expel a lot of flatulence about how the other is everything from a cheat to a liar to a weakling to a kicker-of-dogs, ozone perforator and deserver of the thrashing they will soon receive. They do this for a protracted period of time leading up to some over-hyped contest that may or may not take place.

Then, if/when the contest actually happens, there are all sorts of threats hurled, muscles are flexed, gymnastics performed (some pretty impressive, actually) and, after a while, one of the two is declared the "winner." I am always left wondering whether anyone in this "contest" really was beaten or even hurt and whether it was real or scripted. I suppose that if two men with the physical abilities of pro wrestlers really set out to hurt one another, the carnage would be hard to watch rather than entertaining.

Similarly, I would almost hate to see the actual race between Dwayne and Chad. It could never live up to its hype and if one of them won or lived up to his own claims, it would mean the end of what has been a very entertaining thread.

Keep at it, guys, and thank you.

I try not to respond for that reason. I think I have 2 posts response to Chad in the last month or so. Things had quieted down a bit, so that overall strategy by many of us more or less works. But enough people keep the threads alive anyway. Claiming he was somehow entitled to an apology was a creative way to stir up more trouble, and will go on for several days or longer (it is almost assured that no one will offer up an apology).

He equates opposition to his outrageous forum behaviour as being a Dwayne "cheerleader". That is a fallacy that continues to stir people up. He also likes to make up history, so that now his accusations have been "proven" when many of us have been waiting now 5 months to see any of his evidence or proof. It is sometimes hard not to take that bait.

But we should all keep it up and try to avoid responding, even if it is collectively hopeless.

Michaelb's post on here, is a creative way of saying he thinks that cheating is okay.

We should all keep it up and show him that cheating is not okay, even though he appears to be collectively hopeless.

On first glance I read that as "...much more appealing...", which sums it up pretty well for me. There's a voyeuristic appeal to watching someone pitch a public fit. Bonus: Chad's been largely a single-issue fit-pitcher, which means those who want to steer clear of the whole tacky mess can easily do so.
