Fish Game Scores

Hi All
I am a gym manager in the UK and have installed the fish game on out Concept 2 rower – Wow what a response. I have the whole company chasing each others scores and it is getting a real sense of belonging going in the gym – OUTSTANDING!
The question is this – there doesn’t seem to be any logs of fish game scores so I have no way of telling what the scores are like out there.
We have two rowers over 2000 – one with 2115 and one with 2055. How dose this compare out there?
Please post your Fish Game scores in this thread – thanks and happy fishing!

I have incorporated the fish game into my daily workout routine. As of April 7, 2006, I have played 539 fish games. My highest score is 2,790 with my second highest 2,730. I have made a "season" out of the game. The season lasts for 25 consectutive games. If I register a score of 2,000 or more points, this is a win. Anything less than 2,000 points is a lose. I started out 0-25 for the first two seasons, then went 2-23, 10-15, 12-13, 13-12, 14-11, 14-11, 17-8, 17-8, 17-8, 14-11, 14-11, 18-7, 23-2, 17-8, 20-5, 21-4, 22-3, 23-2, 20-5, and am currently at 12-1 this season. I usually row 10-11 fish games a day. My goal is go 25-0 but one or two of those games is programmed to have fewer chances to obtain fish and you have no chance of hitting 2,000 points. There are usually 4-5 games (within the 25 game schedule) that you have to be nearly perfect to hit 2,000 points but it is possible. Yes, I may need counciling
but actually I simply enjoy being fit and this is a fun way to do it!

I was wondering when this thread would get started. I've done a 2880, but admittedly I probably know a little more about the inner workings of the game so will pass on the million dollar first place prize for the week. Great game, Fisherman- anything to keep fit......Catfish (aka C2JonW)

The Fisherman,
Your fish game routine is one of the best posts that I have seen anywhere. I've been looking for an "items complete vs todo list" game for quite awhile and your fish matches have given me the inspiration to go about this the same way. I read your message Friday night and since then have made a weekly form and am filling it with 25 items to complete for each week, beginning with this one. My week runs from Monday through Sunday. At the end of the week I will add up the scores and get the standings for the match for that week.
There are a possible 52 matches for each year. I am expecting the beginning matches to have low scores and it might be awhile until winning one. It gives me more inspiration that you were 0-25 for the first two matches on your schedule. I love the idea of matching the items completed with the items that haven't been done.
I want to make this as easy as possible so am coming up with ways to facilitate the process. For example, the law of substitution. If any task comes up during the week that I complete that is at least equal to any of the 25 on the list, then the completed task can replace it for that week.
Another thing is that some tasks are more involved and take longer than others. Building a retaining wall takes longer than cleaning off my desk. Thus any of the 25 items should be able to be completed in 1 hour or less. If they take longer than this then they can be broken down into smaller pieces. Any 5 hours on a task should be worth 5 points for the week, and any worthwhile task taking less than 1 hour to complete is fine too.
I also think it will be very difficult to go 25-0 with this game. Usually completing items in a short time can be difficult but over a longer time they get done. Playing the game and matches this way gives me more motivation to keep them in front of me.
Thank you for posting about this.... A+++.

I couldn't get settled into the 10K I was doing on Satuday. So I did 8 turns of the fish game.
Highest score: 1725
Lowest score: 15 (ran out of black fish before I ran out of time), was trying for zero on that round.
I've still not done the fish game enough to workout how to go for the big scores.

Sorry for the dumb question, but I am unfamiliar with the "fish game". Is there somewhere I can get further information? Thanks!

It's included in the latest
beta version of the PM3 firmware. You need a windows PC hooked up, using the USB-A to USB-B cable, to your PM3 to run the firmware updater (takes about 10 mins) [you may need a reboot if you've never hooked up your PM3 to your PC before].

Tyn, A lot of it is luck, like getting a good hand in poker. There is a controlled level of randomness to the number and type of fish that come at you. Other than that, it takes practice and not trying too hard......Catfish (C2JonW)

Ben, I like to do a couple of Fish Games as a warm up and cool down to a "normal" workout, though on occasion I have done as many as 10-12 in a row. Catfish (C2JonW)

So.....Mr. Catfish, how many meters in 4 minutes did you row to achieve a score 3075? What a great score!!
I just finished my best 25 consecutive game season ever.
24-1!!! Like I stated earlier, a win is a 2,000 point game; a lose is below 2,000. All fish games are consecutive fish games.
Here was the record, my meters and scores:
1-0, 886, 2,235
2-0, 940, 2,460
3-0, 944, 2,010
4-0, 965, 2,430
5-0, 985, 2,700
6-0, 865, 2,205
7-0, 894, 2,160
8-0, 873, 2,490
9-0, 937, 2,550
10-0, 832, 2,040
10-1, 832, 1,830
11-1, 894, 2,175
12-1, 815, 2,265
13-1, 875, 2,010
14-1, 809, 2,175
15-1, 889, 2,040
16-1, 885, 2,190
17-1, 915, 2,235
18-1, 924, 2,115
19-1, 920, 2,535
20-1, 993, 2,370
21-1, 830, 2,235
22-1, 955, 2,160
23-1, 951, 2,355
24-1, 992, 2,115
Catfish, you will notice that I had the exact same # of meters in the race before the one I lost but the game gave me no fish to go after. The allusive 25-0 still haunts me.
Possibly next season. Have you went 25-0? Is it true that you helped design the fish game? If so, nice job!
