Can I put a PM5 monitor from a ski erg on a concept 2 rower machine that had a PM3 monitor on it help please

You can't, it has to be a Rowerg PM5.

You can change a PM5 to whatever you like using the free C2 Utility.
The latest version is here.
https://www.concept2.com/service/monitors/pm5/firmware
Go into maintenance and settings you can swap it over to whatever you like, there are 8 options.
