If anyone can spare a few minutes to fill out this very brief survey about blisters from rowing I would really appreciate it. I need data for an engineering capstone project that relates to blisters from rowing. Here is the link to the survey:

Done, but not clear how my answers could possibly help you. What are the aims of your project?

I've done it too, and I'd also be interested in the aim of your survey.

With regards to the question for ranking why I get blisters, I only found moisture and unconditioned hands as being applicable, but I wasn't sure if this was meant to be answered in personal experience, or more generally as an assumption for other people as well?

The reason why I ask is, I always lightly hook my fingers over the handle, so gripping the bar too tight wouldn't ever be appropriate as a problem for me.

I responded, but like most surveys, the specific answers I have in my mind are not listed as one of the answers. I would guess you are just trying to get a very general, generic feeling about blisters, not something that can be used to get enough data to actually try to "solve" the blister problem.

Answered as well. For me the given answers were well matching. My blisters were caused by too much sweat, too weak grip strength at the end of long rows as they were not used to it, which results in much friction at the handle.
Solved the blister problem completely with thin leather pads, so the friction is between handle and pads, but not fingers. Even while rowing the marathon (a distance I am really not used to), I had no problem at all.

The main goal is to figure out if there would be a theoretical market for some sort of product that helped prevent blisters in rowing. We have to do a survey and get 2-300 responses- regarding our problem statement.

I understand that feeling, I'll try to put in some more options for free-response and such. The purpose of the survey isn't really to solve the problem but to see if there's a market as per the class syllabus. requirements. I appreciate you filling it out anyway though!

Finished the survey. I moved past blisters some time ago and really just have calluses now that I occasionally sand to smooth out. 60-70k per week. Just my .02.
