Pause on concept 2 rower pm 5
Is there a way to pause your workout without resetting everything ? Sometimes you need to stop ,bathroom ,phone call, water bottle, etc. I guess a pause button where every thing is on hold . Not talking about interval just pause do something and restart where you left off . Timer or clock stops too.
Thank You

You can program it for variable intervals with variable rest.

There isn't if you programme a set distance / time, but if you use Just Row function then the clock stops when you stop, but obviously this isn't useful if you want to rank a session.
If there was a pause function it would be far too open to abuse.

You can pause in any workout, but the pause time will result in a worse score at the end of the workout.
The monitor will eventually power off automatically. You can keep it alive by pressing ANY button except [BACK/MENU] (obviously).
The variable intervals with variable pause is best if you know the distance you want to row for each rep, but don't know how much recovery time you'd like between reps.

Re: Pause on concept 2 rower pm 5
I wish the erg (in my case PM3) had a pause function as well, for the reasons the OP gives. Pausing the Garmin while I stop for a pee is something I do every time I go for a run, I see no issue.
Not sure how it could be abused -- if you mean fiddling the numbers in ranking pieces, presumably the file would contain the evidence? And I wonder how many would want to cheat anyway.

You cannot have a pause button or else people would use it to recover during ranking a piece.
There is already a pause, you just stop rowing like I did during a FM when a courier knocked at the door and I lost at least a minute that I spent the next hour clawing it back at a second or 2 per 500 meters. Any break totally stuffs your average pace.
The "File" doesn't contain the evidence, its just numbers for most people as their log is not open. The graphs would make it pretty clear with "Glitches" in the pace and ratings at the restarts. There is enough problems already with the verification system without adding more.
