SkiERG World Sprints Training

New SkiERG owner here and see that there is a competition in November; “SkiERG World Sprints”. Sounded like something fun and structured I could use to start up usage on this machine with.

I pulled the training program that Concept 2 has made available, but I have a very dumb question!

When, for example the plan gives ‘Workout 1’ and ‘Workout 2’ for WEEK 1, do I do both these workouts everyday for the week?

Thanks in advance for any direction/clarification anyone may have!

Cheers,

John C

Hi John

Welcome. To the forum and the world of skierging.

That program doesn't make it clear, but my answer would be no, definitely not. And ouch. I think that would hurt. A lot.

Between those hard sessions you should probably try to do as much long slow aerobic work as you can. But as you are a beginner, I'd be cautious about doing too much too soon.

Good luck. I'm currently flogging myself through a home brew programme trying to get back to pb form. Four weeks to go - I think I need to get 1 split quicker per week which will be going some.

Thank you…figured two-a-days would be a little aggressive, lol!

So then just the two speed workouts per week? One Tuesday and one on Thursday say?? Wish it was more clear…especially for a newbie…

Thanks again for taking the time to reply and best of luck on your training…
