New guy to rowing.

60years old

(mostly) retired bike racer

Chicago

Dr said I need something to harmonize my body after years of cycling

Would like to make a friend,

Join a team,

Not do this alone.

How do I proceed?

Get a C2 rowerg, or a single scull or join a boat club (they have both). Then learn to row; it's quite simple, but not entirely as may be expected. The instructions and what it looks like are here:

Took delivery of a C2 Model E last night. Fully connected to iPhone and online logbook.

Ready to jump right in.

Trying to find a club with like minded members. Not sure how to search

If you're not looking for a real world club to join, you could always try out one of the virtual clubs here.
