New Member need help with syncing WOD in logbook
Hello,
M, 30, 5' 11
After an initial warmup of 2515m, I started the Medium Intensity Workout of the Day for today (21/09/2021) from the Concept2 website, (3x 2000m with 3 mins rest in between sets) , but unfortunately when I had to start the 3rd set, I pressed a button and it took me to the previous page, I tried to figure out a way to continue the workout and I assumed maybe if i press rerow again and row another 2000m, I can continue the same WOD, but it started a new workout. Nevertheless i rowed another 2000m for 1 set on the new rerow workout.
Well that's problem 1
Now problem 2
When I search my PM5 I can see the WOD (both 4000m in 2 sets and 2000m in 1 set) listed, but I don't see a way to add it to my Logbook via the ergdata app. Although the ergdata app was connected to the PM5 throughout the workout, it only shows the warmup 2515m, and i don't see the WOD meters.
Also, when I view the WOD workouts on the PM5 I notice that there's a verification code of sorts. The PM5 basically shows my logbook meters + 6000m from the WOD, I tried syncing but that didn't work.
I am a total newbie at rowing, got my Model E this month and have been actively looking to get better at the technique, current timings for 500 m (with damper setting at 5 and drag factor between 110 - 120) are between 2 : 50 - 3 : 10 mins mark (if I compare that to most people, seems like I'm taking a long time, and that too by a huge margin) .
Thanks in advance and if you're reading this - Have a great day fellow enthusiast !

I'm not 100% sure but I think the problem is that you cancelled the Ergdata session when you pressed the button. As you pressed Rerow on the monitor, Ergdata will not have been connected to the session.
Good luck with it all, and don't worry about your current pace; none of us where fast to start with. So just enjoy the quick gains you'll find if you stay consistent and patient with your training.

The PM and ergdata need the buttons to be pressed in the right order: from PM dead, move the handle or any button, press Connect in PM and in ergdata: ergdata reads PM only if connected in ED itself. (Maybe BTLE helps with connection?)
Only then set up the workout and go, without pressing any more buttons until you have finished. If we re-row an interval set, ergdata stops at the same number. If it's a new set, it stops when we stop it (or at 50). So after 3x5' stop, 4x5' is a new workout.
After work, shift ergdata to the details page, and Sync to logbook. If it's shown in the ergdata list, it can be sent to logbook at any time, once only.

If pieces are canonic distances/times (eg 2000m, 30') you can load the PM data and the code by finger to logbook Ranked Workouts and it will say Yes to Verified.

I guess i messed it up, but I've to added it manually in the logbook for the time being. 1 set of 2000m got verified, 2 sets of 2000m (i.e, 4000m total) didn't but I guess I'll have to be more careful in the future.Dangerscouse wrote: ↑September 22nd, 2021, 3:19 amI'm not 100% sure but I think the problem is that you cancelled the Ergdata session when you pressed the button. I guess somehow it got disconnected, although I resynced it but the WOD workouts didn't log @ergdata, anyway I manually entered them onto my logbook, 1 set of 2000m got verified, the next two sets of 2000m (total 4000m) didn't but i guess i'll have to make do with 1 unverified session for now.jamesg wrote: ↑September 22nd, 2021, 4:21 amThe PM and ergdata need the buttons to be pressed in the right order: from PM dead, move the handle or any button, press Connect in PM and in ergdata: ergdata reads PM only if connected in ED itself. I'll make sure to be more careful with the Pm5 in the future though.
Thanks for helping me out mate. Appreciate your response !

Congratulations on starting to row - it will reward your efforts.
Don't worry about what's recorded, or what's been verified - the single most important thing is that you did the workouts.
