Improvement in seating posture?

Anyone else noticed an improvement in their sitting posture since taking up erging? My wife has excellent posture & we were in the local hospital waiting area for her to receive her COVID vaccine.

I was startled to discover I was actually sitting at her eye level!! Normally I'm slouched over, butt to the front edge of the chair, sitting on my back pockets, legs crossed & stretched out with arms folded across my chest. I was actually sitting like my mother always told me I should.....smack dab on my ischial tuberosities with feet flat on the floor!!

This "correct" posture has also carried over to watching TV, working at the computer & sitting at the dining room table.

Too bad my mother passed away several years ago. She would be really pleased and say, "how come it took you so long?"

yes, definitely! It took me a while to develop the core strength and the habit to keep checking my posture, but it's made a huge difference in my every day sitting posture as well as my rowing.
