I checked out Josh Crosby, the Apple rowing guru in the app. He has some free videos. He uses a water rower, not a Concept, and while the technique is the same, I figure I can get better advice here than thru the app. Best of all, it's free.

I doubt many here will find them interesting. They seemed more tuned to the fitness buff than the rower.

I’ve tried a few of the rowing workouts on AF+ and found them quite enjoyable. It would be nice if the app would connect to the PM5 and include your rowing metrics.

I asked Concept2 if they were planning on integrating with Apple Fitness+. The answer was no. Seems a simple change would allow one to participate in the Fitness+ workouts yet still log data with Concept2. Might sell a few more machines.

I find it pretty good. Rowing is boring fitness+ helps a lot.

I'm quite a novice but did do two of the 10 minute rows today. I run ErgData with a chest-strap HR monitor logged to the C2 logbook so I can do a close look, and have ErgData write-to-health permissions disabled. Then my watch tracks the AF+ workout normally.
I've done a few of the workouts and my novice take is that they are well-produced and more or less enjoyable, but one thing I noticed is the camera focuses a fair bit "head on" and this causes a strange effect where it is harder to follow the stroke pace since the distance is so compressed like that. I much prefer the side views where you can see the stroke really span and unfold.
The two ten-minute workouts I did today did really get my heartrate up, and I do prefer to follow human/voice queues than to stare at the PM5 and wonder if it is time to change rate.
In short, I like the setup, will probably intersperse them with my own training and other videos, but if you already have an Apple Watch, they are great. Not sure I would buy a watch just for rowing!
I've been enjoying that other workouts too, like the HIIT and strength exercises, and some of the Mindful Cooldowns. I do hope Apple continues to build and improve this service, it has some real potential if so.
