PM5 soaked in Disinfectant by Gyms. Is there a cover available

Hi Guys
My local gym ( VirginActive) have some old C2s with PM5's attached. They are all slowly breaking as the floor staff and some members are soaking the PM5s in disinfectant spray, to the point were they are actually dripping wet and surprisingly stop working.
Sadly, this the new norm, so does anyone know if there's a cover available for the Performance Monitors?
I can knock-up prototype, raise some money on the DEN
, but all of this will take time and I don't want to go into business with Duncan Bannatyne

You should be able to wrap it in cling film and get it reasonably water tight. Else a ziploc bag would afford some protection.

Ziplock sounds cheap and easy.
Also, I think my wife has some shrink wrap plastic I'll try and see if this offers snug fit.

The trouble is that folks won't have read that guidance. Although it's moot until Dec 3rd as gyms are closed in the UK.

it's true that would be down to individual gyms to do and mine updated their guidance to just that. Spray the paper not the equipment.

This happened in the locations round here – 4 out of 7 Model E machines rendered unusable because the PM5s were destroyed by being soaked. I suggested that they attach a small sign to the lower part of the PM5 asking people not to spray the unit but instead spray the blue towel and gently wipe the surfaces. I saw someone spraying the handle and all along the chain and into the fan cage on one unit!
Sadly we'll never know how the saga ended – as Citroen said, all the gyms and leisure centres are closed again in the UK, leaving some PM5s to marinate in disinfectant for a few weeks.
