I bought my first Concept 2 (a model C) new when I lived in Northern NY State in the 1990s. I used it religiously for a while, especially when my son was diagnosed with leukemia at 7 years old. It helped me through that very stressful period. I hadn't been using it much, so I ended up selling it before we moved to Virginia in 2005. I regretted it somewhat. Then, in 2010, I was walking through a local thrift store, and there it was: A mint model D. For $50. Of course I picked it up, but I was playing lots of tennis at the time, and I ended up selling it. Then, yesterday, I was walking through another thrift store, and there was the entire front end of a model E, missing the monorail, for $60. It feels like someone is trying to tell me something. I bought it. Still deciding what to do with it.
My family is from Vermont, and I went to college in Burlington. It feels like these rowers recognize someone from their homeland, and call out to me............

My only quesion is the condition of the front end, including the PM5 monitor. If they're okay, you have just found the second biggest bargain of all time. The first was the mint condition Model D for $50. At $60, even if you have no use for it, I would still buy it. I'm sure you could sell it for much, much more.
If you decide to keep it and add the monorail, it no longer will be the second biggest bargain of all time--but it will be close to it.
