Following a long illness George died on Tuesday 7th August. He was cremated on Friday 10 August. Willie Brown, Richard Hardy and me were there representing Scottish Indoor Rowing.

He will be much missed.

I never had the pleasure of knowing George but being a member of Team Oarsome I have heard nothing but very good things about him. He will be very missed by the sound of things and i send my condolences to all of you
