I am about to get on the water, in a quad, in the frigid waters of Western New York. The air temperature will be in the 30s and 40s with the water temperature around 32 degrees. My question, is it worth it to get sculling pogies for this cold weather? Has anyone had any experience wtih them? Does JL make quality ones (I was looking at those online)? Are pogies worth 30 dollars? Help in this decision would be greatly appreciated.

Poggies are GREAT, I couldn't row without them but you don't have to order them special, cut the toe of a pair of socks and you have poggies. If you have fleece socks or hiking socks that is better, if not two pairs of cotton socks will definatly help. They should be a wider pair of socks as well.
