I found this from the website of Concept2
http://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/t ... calculator

They calculate the weight factor: Wf = (Weight(lbp)/170) ^0.222 and the corrected time will be equal to Wf * ActualTime.
(in the webpage, in stead of using 170, they used 270)

What do you think about this method?

Apparently it works on already athletic builds suitable for rowing but I think for indoor rowing, unless a calculation that incorporates height is used, its no good.

I'm 6"1 and weigh 100Kg, you can have a guy at 6"6 weight the same or even less and I'm afraid height makes a massive difference on the length of the drive on an Erg.

Its about lean weight, that 6,6 guy will be lean, not chubby like most 6.1 100kg guys
