Hi,
I was wondering what distance do people use to say they have rowed/circumnavigated around the earth? I assume it is at the equator.
Thanks!!

It's 24,000 nautical miles round the equator. That's approximately 40,075,000 metres.
Very few folk will ever get that far.

I'm giving it my best shot, 15th season and 20,740,000 meters.Citroen wrote:It's 24,000 nautical miles round the equator. That's approximately 40,075,000 metres.

roadrunner (David Hislop of Scotland) passed that years ago and is still piling it on. He's one of those remarkable few.
As of this morning I'm at 34,395,167m, and it took 13 1/2 years to get there. Barring serious injury I should make the virtual trip around the equator in another 2 or 3 years.
