Will this training year be less intense than last year?

Post by bepah » February 17th, 2012, 3:08 pm

Playing around with numbers is fun for me and I have noticed that this year (2012 season) may be the first year that the total number of meters rowed by the C2 universe is lagging last years total,...by a considerable amount. In fact, we are on pace to log just over the 2010 training year (and not by much, either).

Are themeter rowed in the early spring generally more than in the depths of winter as a rule, perhaps, that rowers take the winter off but get started in spring, even though it may be too cold to go on water? Or are we losing rowers? Getting older? lazier?

Stats man wants to know!

It is quite exciting!

I wonder if the competition (RowPerfect, Oartec, and Water Rower) are beginning to cut in?

That would make sense if 1) people are abandoning the C2 for the substitutes (most likely at the gyms, but I am not certain of that) or 2) sales of the substitutes are cutting into new sales of the C2.....does the Dynamic Rower log on the same facility?
