Logcard problems

I've only been using my logcard for a week or so on my PM3 and on a OmniKey reader. It has worked perfectly up to now.
Now, I get a greeting on the PM3 and I can see past workouts. However, I cannot record a workout. I do a workout and press MenuBack and get to the Logcard and look for workouts by date. The newest is not there. There is no start record procedure that I recall. However, the workout is in PM3 memory and I can transfer the workout to the logcard and then upload it. Am I overlooking something? Thanks.

With the LogCard fully home in the slot
Main menu --> More Options --> LogCard --> LogCard Utilities --> Move Workout
If you don't have the LogCard fully inserted in the PM3/PM4 your workout will get logged in the monitor's memory.

I don't see how I could possibly insert the card more fully than I have.
I really do not get how it is that the PM3 sees the Logcard, yet will not record a workout. That is almost nonsensical.
If the Omnikey card reader does not see the card, a red 'X' is on the display. In the case of the PM3, I get the Logcard menus, etc, yet no recording takes place when I row. I was under the impression that recording on the Logcard was automatic. Is that a known problem? The Logcard is seen, but recording does not take place?

Check the PM3 firmware version and upgrade to the current version.
There have been some old firmware bugs that caused LogCard problems.
If that doesn't solve it call C2USA at 1-800 245 5676

I think upgrading PM3 firmware solved my problem. Is there a minimum time a workout has to be before it is saved in memory or written to a logcard? I tried a couple of 100m pulls and saw nothing. Then I went for 1 min and it was there.

I think there's a minimum, I can't remember how short. If you row for a minute or 100m it should get recorded.

You must row for at least one minute for Just Row results to be saved in memory or on your LogCard. "Just Row" allows you to row up to 50,000 meters.
Found this in How to Use your PM3: What is a 'Just Row' workout?

Main menu --> Just row
Or simply sit on the machine and pull the handle three times. The monitor wakes up and starts recording metres, stroke rate and elapsed time. It will display pace, calories or watts depending on what the last user had it set for.
When you've done a minute or 100m and press [MENU/BACK] you'll get a line item in your logcard data.
