Dwayne has not raced in public since BiRC 2002 (November 2002) since then he has got quicker and quicker over 2000m and still has not raced? What makes you think he will start racing now, 4 years on.
Assholes like you!!!!
I think your loyalty is a bit late mumbles, have you not left Taff Attack and joined TAR? That says a lot about you doesn’t it? I wonder if Dwayne will see through you?

Stop mumbling.

Chad:

"When he's ready to" may be never, and that is his business--not yours. You've made your point--over and over and over again. Would you please stay off this thread?

There are several TAR members who are not "anti-Dwayne" who joined TAR because they want to be part of the new team because of the new direction it is taking. There are also those who would have liked to have joined TAR but were not accepted for one reason or another. And there are those that are still in the process of making a decison. You can't make sensible judgements about it because you have not been privy to the conversations that have been taking place off the forum. So, please mind your business about the TA/TAR breakup. I'm sure you are enjoying gloating about the results of your meddling, but it would be nice if you'd do it elsewhere.

I am not meddling at all, I am just stating facts. Facts that some people have obviously understood. I have nothing to do with the break up of Taff Attack, I raised issues, issues that have been raised in the past, and I just added some new information to them. This problem is an old one, so don’t try and blame me for any of this mess.

If the issue of a team split is being talked about on a public forum, then I will make comment on it, if it is not meant for public knowledge, then you would be well advised to keep it off the forum.

As for staying off the Taff Attack thread, NO. I am free to post where I like, it is a public forum.

I was under the impression that Chad, HJS, and John Rupp had agreed to stop posting your remarks on this thread.

I said I will stay off the thread until things settle down a bit, looks like they have as this topic was falling of the bottom of the page as of a few hours ago.

Byron, been out on your trike much this spring? I am still monkeying around with my new bike trying to get the seat adjusted right. Seems like no matter what I do I am still trying to back off the end of the seat to make it feel like my old bike. This one is a Specialized--alumninum frame, so it's about 15 or so pounds lighter than my 1976 steel Raleigh but I don't feel as powerful on it because the body position is just not quite right yet. It's driving me NUTS! I just spent $225 on a special seat post to set the seat back further but it's not enough. This weekend I'm going to try raising it about 1/4" and see if that does it.
Hi Carla,

I know what you mean about trying to get a good fit on a road bike. I had one that was absolutely perfect and I road it for about 25 or 30 years. Now I only ride trikes. I ride my trike just about every day. Even in the winter there are very few days I can't ride. A small patch of ice isn't going to cause a spill, and it's easy to keep warm on a trike. When I first rode with other cyclists on my trike, I was the only one on a trike. Eventually people noticed how comfortable I was, and once you develop the recumbent muscles a trike is just as fast as a road bike I think. Now we have a lot of trikes in our local cycling club, and there are starting to be rides where the trikes outnumber the road bikes. Quite often I show up at a ride drinking coffee and eating donuts. Have you ever seen my essay on drinking coffee and eating donuts while cycling? I published it in our local cycling magazine:

http://www.math.msu.edu/~drachman/cycle ... eTCBA.html

It's too bad we're not neighbors. I'd like to put you on a trike. You would absolutely fly on a good trike. The muscles you use are almost the same as you use in rowing. In other words, your rowing strength would transfer to the trike. And needless to say, a trike is comfortable.

If we all stop responding to the trolls, maybe they will get bored with us and go on to some other thread.

Byron

Trolls just troll, I am not a troll, I pass on valuable information. You carry on going through life with your eyes closed; it will be you that looses out.

It is because some people turn a blind eye to important issue that things then escalate.

Most other people also don,t belong in this thread anymore. They are now TAF.

And the namecalling comes only from one side. You have never seen me do that. .

What I fail to understand is how this tempest in a miniscule teapot can be considered as an important issue. Who gives a damn?

This has fuck all to do with loyalty i was quite happy to call you an asshole long before the TA split. As i previoulsy stated (if you had read my earlier post) i still give Dwayne the benefit of the doubt but would like too and one day hope to see him race. My main reasons for joining TAR were that it is a primarily Welsh and Welsh based racing team and, believe it or not i am Welsh and love to race. You may well wonder if Dwayne or anyone else for that matter sees through me, perhaps you should know that everyone sees through you too mate and your claims to be trying to better the system and all this bollocks when in fact it is a childish witchhunt focused on one man that you seem to have some ridiculous obsessive grudge against. I really do hope Dwayne comes to BIRC soon and absolutley kicks your arse, but even if he doesnt and you win (which you will if your times are for real) i will still think your an asshole.

Chad,

I would be willing to bet good money that Dwayne could not duplicate or come close to his times on the board if he were to row at an organized race.

I must say however that your relentless dogging of Dwayne does appear to be an unhealthy obsession.

Very cute article! I can't eat very well while driving a car, so I'm sure it would be pretty challenging for me to manage that!

About 4 or 5 years ago, I got everything totally set up on my ancient steel bike so nothing ever hurt or got numb, even without padded shorts--75 miles or so, no problems. Then when I started riding with groups a bit, I decided to upgrade, mostly because I wanted those brake lever shifters and it was impossible on my old bike, plus not having all that weight also was attractive. But the new frame geometry is so different, and the shop I went to wouldn't listen to me about how I feel comfortable riding, so I'm having to do all these adjustments when it's likely I should really be on a bigger frame...

Trikes don't appeal to me right now but might in the future!
