Maybe I could have gone 6000KMS, but that would have been a royal pain in my butt.
With a full life as father, husband, sick days, holidays, etc and running the Iron Oarsman I was able to muster up almost 4 million.
Anything above 5 million, WOW, possible to a degree but VERY VERY VERY time consuming.
Sincerely,
XENO
6 million is doable, even balancing family, work, and a life. You just have to get up very early in the morning and be a little OCD. For me though, 6 million is where I where I would draw the line about balancing family and work committments. I was just shy of six million meters last season, and would have made if not being ordered off the rower by a doctor, but that meant that I had to workout early in the morning, and while the rest of my family was napping on weekends. In terms of time, that meant on average an hour a day, but when you factor in travel, and illness, it meant about an hour and ten minutes a day.

Cheers,

Brian

Ok, so you want to start this whole subject up again? Let’s do it then.

You can question my times if you like, that is your choice, I have nothing to hide. I don’t rank my times so what are you going to question? Come to BiRC this year and see what I can do. I have the fastest time for the CTC this month yet I have not posted it as I have no proof to back it up! I would say that at each month on the CTC a small percentage of the times are manipulated in some way. The top 3 final times of the CTC should have to supply proof of their times or distances posted, this is the price you should have to pay for success. I would do it if asked, as I have nothing to hide.

Why should we question the new leader of the overall distance rankings? He is not making claims of World Record times his he? If he was also top of 500m, 2000m, 5000m, 6000m, 10000m, Half Marathon and Marathon then I would agree with you, alarm bells would start to ring.

It seems to me that you have not read anything I have stated in the past, if you have read it you have not understood it.

It looks like Dwayne has gone? Why? He could not back up what he claimed, you have to face the facts on that one.

I've PM'd him...he's not gone, just waiting in the wings. Mostly sick and tired of you buttlick.

It's a sad thing too. Because he had/has a lot of good advise and things to say to so many people on this forum. And from what I got from him, he's so put off from all the sh*t on this forum, that he doesn't want to come back. I may be wrong though. I shouldn't be putting words in his mouth.

Row4life, Dwayne’s new (and only) cheerleader. I did not bring this subject up again, it was Jamie.

We all know how this can be ended; the ball is in Dwayne's court, no one else’s.

Not planning to travel across the pond just to go to the BiRC. Saving my money to watch New Zealand win the World Cup in 2007. I don't think any of Dwayne's time's are world record. Although it would make sense to have to fast times in the longer distances since rowing is 85% aerobic over 2000m. Good luck at BiRC, hope you handle pressure well.

Nonsense.

I'm nobody. I'm just an overweight old bat struggling to learn how to do this thing. I'm bopping along, dealing with whatever I deal with, reading, learning, when suddenly I find myself gobsmacked with some of this childish ugliness.

You could just stop. Every damn one of you could. At the very least you could start a thread called "Childish Ugliness" so everybody who doesn't want to play doesn't wander in accidently.

Yeah, I've read all of your holier-than-thou crap about who is better and who is ruining what and isn't-it-awful but I'm not buying one damn bit of it. You're just a bunch of schoolyard poseurs. And not everybody wants to listen to it.

Capiche?

Hello big mamma, I would say get your old overweight ass in gear :D and stay out off threads with the name DA is them.
Just as I would do if a thread is obviously not about something that does concern me.

Sure, but don't be bothered about some words written on an Internet forum. Dwayne could shut up everybody doubting him by some earth shattering performance. But the silence on his side only feeds the assumption he is not the erger he claims to be.
