Big I think, but they have to fit in the culture, the spanish guys over here often did not perform great. Around quintana mostly spanish helpers, Nibaly Italian, Froome english speaking.
No doubt they will build a better team though, this win could give more money, not a small matter.

Rabo got Mensjov and Rasmussen. Oscar Freire did great with Rabo. But he was an exception, no climber, bit wierd, super lazy/relax. Very succesfull though.

Menchov was at least professional and had the skills. The Dane was an overreaching fool. Freire was indeed productive!

Cycling indeed was a freakshow. Read the book Thomas Dekker got written about his time at Rabo? I found it a fun read, but bizar. Sex, drugs and RR.

Been watching the Dauphiné w/ Anthony McCrossan calling the race. On stage 5, picture without sound for the first three minutes. Soooo refreshing! And I could understand McCrossan when the sound came up. Aaahhh!!

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! My alltime favorite the pocket sprinter Robbie McEwen. Porte has worked hard coupling and uncoupling the cars on other folks' dream trains and deserves his season in the sun. And how many of us have tried to break the battery pack on a camera moto with our face! Neil Stephens was hardcore enuf to do his job and survive. Still is. Man for the long haul.

Excellent commentary final day Dauphiné by Renaat Schotte but didn't give Porte wings unfortunately. Crap!

Sagan owns the sprint in Cevio, Tour de Suisse. Makes the big men look like tired puppies. Does the Hula after the line. Beautiful long sprint! Beautiful stage!

Another sprint win for Sagan at Schaffhausen. Degenkolb watches helpless while Sagan eats his lunch. Getting to be a habit. FInal stage TT today. The stage over glacial morraine Friday last very unusual. Mountains of the moon! Not familiar with current race leader. Race callers Scots ex-pro cyclist and Irish partner TOTALLY intelligable. ITV, FUBO, and techs who can't be bothered to pot up the commentary over the race feed can kiss my royal behind; NBC Sports Gold imo the goto for US fans this yr.

Lindsay, NBC Sports coverage of Swiss tour was fantastic here. No coverage from the gun but 35-50k is usually enuf for me. No commercials and full podium ceremony every day. Less pleased with subscription service FUBO. I realize this is of no particular interest to fans in Oz, Holland, South Africa and UK. I intended to pull in some US fans to discuss but didn't happen. Not much disturbed by that outcome as I enjoy chatting with youself, Henry, Paul and Gary. Probably a bit hard on Mr. Kirby whom I find a taste difficult of acquisition!

Rohan Denis (final day TT) and Michael Matthews were all the Australian stage winners.

Into the second week of this edition of Le Tour and I didn't comment on my auditory troubles because I have none with English as spoken by Bob Roll and Christian Vandevelde. Only reviving this thread about nations "separated by a common language" after listening to Matt Keenan and Robbie McEwen Tour commentary on NBC SportsGold. Despite the Aussie pronunciation, I'm not forced to concentrate to "pick out" the words. Not certain why. Maybe cause the Aussies sound the consonants?
