Apples Rotten?

Post by igoeja » December 5th, 2006, 7:00 pm

I find it funny that some people think Apples are crap. I've supported desktop/server teams and currently program for Windows, and no way I'd think the PC was better. A few years ago I would have found it slow, when the chip was RISC, but I just purchased a new 24" Intel-based iMac, and besides being gorgeous, I run Windows via Remote Desktop, and eventually will run Windows on my Intel-based iMac. Although the operating system is known as Mac OS X, its underlying system is BSD UNIX. The software quality is astounding compared to all the garbage people write for Windows.

The Apple iMac is beautiful, easy to work with, secure, and fast. Why is that bad?

I have an external hard drive now to save important information for when XP gets bad enough and I need a reformat. One of these days I will transfer all needed files to the external and put Linux on one of my machines.

If I buy another computer I think I will switch to Mac.
You could run Linux on all three of your computers and also xp.

All you need to do is partition the hard drive, and then boot up with one or the other.

I have linux as the primary boot on mine, but can stop the boot in 10s and switch it to xp any time.
