Three things that every home needs:
baking soda=mild abrasive polish and acid neutralizer,
white vinegar=mildly acidic surfactant/degreaser/decalcifier,
mineral oil=food safe lube, water repellant wood sealant/preservative, and oddly, an alternative to volatile and toxic adhesive removers.
