Oops. I got my decades confused. Dave Matthews came on the scene in the mid 90s. I just watched a recording of the Letterman performance. SO GOOD!

My journey into music started in the 90s and was already pointing to electronic styles.

Very first album was "The Prodigy - Music for the Jilted Generation", buyed late '94 or beginning '95. I really like all the tracks and they lost nothing for me - like them the same way as 25 years ago 👌🏻
Same for "Scooter - ...and the beat goes on!" - the tracks beside the released known singles are really great and show their musical potential as electronic music producers!
Both albums are bangers and I hear them repeatedly since then!

In the next decade I got deeper into trance music and also in harder styles of electronic music. There came up so much really excellent tracks I can't list them.
For the harder style Ophidian is one of my favorite producer - noone else shows up with producing skills like him 👌🏻

In the 10's and 20's, Jazz took hold and I listen to that more than anything else. I lean towards the improvisational stuff especially piano and bass centered material.
I love how different we all are, as improvisational jazz is one of the few types of music I can't enjoy. I like my jazz to be more traditional (Jimmy Smith, Richard Groove Holmes, Wes Montgomery etc) but it always fascinates me that what is an aurgasm to you, can be a headache to someone else.

The magic of Music!

Most of my friends love country music and while I appreciate the influence it has had on some of my favorite artists, I simply cannot tolerate listening to it.

I find the evolving to be very interesting... I listed Jethro Tull and Led Zep and that list could have gone on, but I'm just as happy to jump on the rower and fire up Symphany Hall on Sirius XM today and I'm happy as a clam.
