Rowing in London

Post by MastahPat » March 19th, 2007, 10:52 pm

Hey everybody,

This summer i will be doing an internship in London and i am looking to row there as well. Does anyone have suggestions for a good competative boat club i can try to row with? Any help is much appreciated...

Go on to the ARA club finder page

http://www.ara-rowing.org/render.aspx?s ... =1,141,142

Search in the Thames region, Open Clubs.

There are lots of clubs in London, it just depends how competitive you want to get. So check out the websites and drop a couple of them an email and see what response you get.

Ones that spring to mind are Thames Rowing Club, London Rowing Club, Tideway Scullers, and Vesta - All based in and around Putney and Chiswick

London is a massive sprawl, so choose a club close to where you will be staying or you will spend half your life and most of your money travelling to and from training.
