That's easy. An all out 2K if you are really doing it right. Too long to be an all out sprint, too short to make any mistakes at all. You HAVE TO hit it right. IMHO that's why they use that distance for the WIRC (used to be 2500M or even longer in those very early CRASH B years).
Guess that's not technically a "workout "per your question - but nothing hurts more.
Not sure you coach did you much good by doing 90 minutes for 2' on 2' off. That's not a very benificial workout if you ask me. Just serves to beat down the kids he's supposed to be training. I obvously don't perscribe to the credo "That which beats you down only makes you stronger." More like "That that makes you strong, makes you stonger."
If you don't try, you will never know how bad you suck.
