The guy who wrote the installation instructions must be cringing....

The legs are backward on Martha's machine. Look at the slope of the rail!

My impression was that it was not her machine. It seems to be at a club and there are two C2s in it. The other erg has the legs on properly. The thing that bothered me most was that the instructor was not using the proper sequence of legs, body, arms. She is clearly bending her arms at the elbows long before her legs are sraight. Martha is a beginner, so it is not surprising that she hasn't yet learned the technique, but it is a sad situation that so many clubs have instructors that are clueless about technique. What indoor rowing needs is more clubs like Xeno's Iron Oarsman and Josh Crosby's chain of Indo-Row clubs. Both of them are training more young people to be instructors, so maybe it is a start of a wave.
