Tyn I think that you must have the right resistance, only the monitor gives you wrong information. Maybe the display shows df 76 for df 276.

What is your feeling? Is it like df 76?

110 for most. 120 for 1000 and 500. If my back wasn,t so weak I would up this for the 500. For the longer work this drag is fine.

Sorry to hear about your bad back!!

The rest seems fine

Blijf roeien, het is geweldig voor mijn rug!
Ben begonnen met roeien na een hernia operatie, soms stijf, maar nooit meer pijn of uitval!
(sorry even snel in het nederlands )

Keep on rowing!
stay Happy!!

thks. Maar weer effe engels of wat daar voor door gaat ;-)).

I am certainly planning to do so but, I just have stay away from real sprintstuff, hard low rate work and high drag. The rest gives little problemes.
For you the same, keep on erging but stay away from the 300 drag which German answer is talking about

My dragfactor for racing 2000m is 110, last years best was 6:27.9. I am 1.85 meter and 89 kilo at the moment. In training I row mostly the same drag because that feels good to me. With that drag I can make long pulls from the maximum start to the upper part of my chest. When I pull for example a higher drag I am not able to pull that maximum reach.
When people pull higher drag then they use more power and then they use more white muscles and that means you are getting sooner more "melkzuur" (sorry I do not know the english word, but that gives the burning feeling in the muscles).
Of course, when you are real good you need a higher drag because otherwise you can not get the necessary speed.

It's not about the drag!!

Did you see armstrong on a bike?

He proves it!

Strenght and power is 1
SR is another!

BTW: I think I've the power, not the spm

happy rowing
