What is going on at C2?

Post by brianric » May 1st, 2006, 9:06 am

I hit the 10 million mark on March 23, submitted my results, no response. I get an email April 28 telling me to resubmit. It will be interesting to see how long before I get a reply. Maybe by Christmas I'll get my sweatshirt and a useless certificate saying I hit 10 million as I pass the 12 million point, except that I cannot log in today's meters. Way to go C2.

I sent an email for 33 million, the first I'd sent since 8 million, and C2 responded right away.

If you don't hear from them within 24-48 hours, just send it again, as a 2nd request.

I am quite certain that I got an email from C2 telling me that the new rowing year stats wouldn't show up for a few days.
First row 3/13/06

I've been working 60 hours a week for the past six weeks, my job is going away December 31. On my day off I had to drive 50 miles one way to be hooked up to a machine for 90 minutes to donate platelets. Had to do two photo shoots for charity. The only time I get to watch TV is when I'm on the C2. One of the few things I enjoy is rowing and entering my meters rowed. I'm getting ready right now to take this rower and throw it out the door.

Brian,

Try sending your meters to KC Colt <kcc@concept2.com>.

Couldn't get on at home because Commiecast was down, so I'm logging in at work. As far as I'm concerned C2 can take their prizes and stick them. It's not the prizes that's winding me up, it is the inability to log my meters.

Can I clarify for a moment - you're mad because you haven't been able to log your times for the last 39 hours? Times that you'll be able to log as soon as the site is back up, thereby having lost nothing?

Brian,

Just ignore those, who have nothing constructive to say.

Let me clarify something for you. I'm at a state of a complete and total breakdown. My job is going away, and at present, there is no slot for me to fill. I've been on backshit and six tens now for two months. So if I was blowing off steam to prevent myself from having a total meltdown (pardon the pun, I work at a nuclear power plant), so be it. Rowing is one of the few things I have in life, as a recovering alcoholic, to keep myself on the wagon. I'm sorry that it bothers you that I complained, but it does mean something to me to log my meters in. Where is Frankie and the boys when I need them?

It doesn't bother me that you complained at all. I was merely suggesting that you should keep it in perspective. Given that doing the meters and typing them into a spreadsheet, or even just writing them in a notebook, isn't enough, then I'm at a loss to understand your situation and will refrain from further comment. I hope your job situation resolves itself soon and positively.

Cheers, Paul
