Resting heartrates of 34, 35? :shock: That's incredible. Does anyone else think that's maybe a little too low?

Not uncommon for a pure endurance athlete but yes it is low. The lowest I have heart of is 27. (cyclist)

Myself yesterday 46 age 39 season best 6.24

25 years of running has moulded my HR I think. I have seen it at 32BPM. The only problem when it is so low, is if it skips a beat it's almost 2 seconds. As long as it doesn't flat line, no problem B) . Blood Pressure taken at doctors 5 weeks ago 110/60.

RHR 35 said my cardioloog and he told me I am very healthy. But normally with such RHR the cardioloog wants to check if evrything is okay.
Spite of my low RHR I do not like long distances at all.....my level is going down each meter above 1000m......

In the 1970ies RHR was 108 to 120.

I'm really impressed with these resting heartrates, as mine currently stands at 68 bpm. I'm a 46 yr old female. I guess I have a way to go ...
I know there is a direct correlation between fitness level and rhr, but is 68 an acceptable number?

For any individual, there is a strong correlation between RHR and aerobic fitness level. On the other hand, there are wide variations between individuals, even among elite athletes, regarding RHR and Max HR. Just to give you an example, my swim coach is a long distance swimmer who holds several WR in her age group, yet her RHR is in the low 60's, but her max HR is above 200 (she is 45 years old). She can also maintain that max HR for the duration of a 1500m swim (about 17:30 in her case!).

Another thing to consider is when do you measure your RHR. Is it at wake up time while still lying in your bed, or is it when your are sitting at your desk? Also, any physical activity one does will affect the RHR for several hours. Coffee, alcohol, smoking, etc. have also an impact on RHR.

Francois, considering this, when is the best time to get an accurate RHR reading?
