Cover part of PM5 display?

Post by Cricketbat » December 26th, 2023, 8:36 pm

Hi,
This is a bit random but does anyone know if there exists a kind of hood or box I could put over my PM5 so that it only shows the top row (time) and bottom (stroke rate and heart rate) when it’s on maximum size display? It’s so I can do heart/stroke rate limited sessions without getting distracted by time/watts/calories! I could make one out of cardboard of course, or use sticky tape, but neither a good long term solution I think, so was wondering if there’s anything that’s more robust available commercially?
Many thanks
Neil

I cut up an empty oats box with a knife and used gorilla tape to make two of them a few years ago.
One of them shows time, and the other one only shows the meters which is the one that I use the most.
You can cut them to show whatever you wish. Plus they are quite robust and show no signs of wearing out.

I don't know of anything that is commercially produced, as everything that I've ever heard of is the simple type of solution that John suggests, and has been proven to work.

Hi Neil, that's definitely a creative idea! While I haven't come across a commercially available hood or box specifically designed for the PM5 with your preferences
