Screen PM4 Vs PM5 what the difference

I'm using a PM4 and have moved to a different location. Now, the screen on the PM4 has a bright light shining from behind (in front of a window). The info cannot be distinguished if I'm not right on top of the screen.

Does anyone have experience with the PM5 screen with light coming from the back of the screen? Do you think the MP5 screen will alleviate my problem?

Have you first tried going into more option and then the screen contrast adjustment ?

No a backlight or even a colour TFT screen is even worse.

You should be able to adjust the screen contrast to get it to work.

The PM5 backlight is designed to enable you to use the rower in low light or even in the dark when you forget to turn the lights on before a long row.

Failing that pull a curtain or close the blinds to block the light source.

I did try changing the contrast. Unfortunately, it didn't make any difference, and no possibility of a shade.
