George Meredith 1948 - 2020 RIP

Hi all,

Sadly my Dad, George Meredith, had to stop rowing many years ago.

This was due to Alzheimer’s:-(

Then sadly just before Xmas he passed away aged 72.

Many of you will know that he held the British Record for v50 lwt at every distance! 2000m right up to marathon! Over the years the records have gradually gone but he still holds the 5000m record.

Sad time but I wanted to let the indoor rowing community know

Hi Ally, I'm very sorry to hear this news, and thanks for letting us know.

I have first hand experience of Alzheimer's so I know how horrible it is, so I hope you are doing as well as you can do in the circumstances.
