What a great picture. That image reminds me of something related to cycling:
Bicycling is my "true love" but lately, for a variety of reasons, I've been erging a lot more than cycling. However, I've never done any OTW rowing. One of my very favorite types moments on a bike is when I'm riding a new-to-me route (typically on a rural road) and as I crest a hill or come around a corner and a beautiful vista unexpectedly opens up in front of me. I'm transfixed for a moment or two, and the image can stay with me for years after. I would thing that OTW rowers probably have similar experiences every now and then.
