Dyno's "Force" monitor wanted!
Dyno's "Force" monitor wanted!
Hi folks!
I'm desperately looking for a monitor for Concep2 Dyno strength training machine (in Europe).
https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/5ZUAAOSw ... -l1600.jpg
I got mine Dyno used equipped with PM2, but as I already have C2 model D with PM5, I'd like to have Dyno as a strength training machine rather than a powerfull erg.
There is one crazy offer available on ebay (200 GBP), but thats waay out of my budget.
If some of you happen to have working Dyno's monitor (like on the picture) laying around and want to sell it for reasonable price (or exchange for PM2) - pls stick me a PM.
Cheers!

Re: Dyno's "Force" monitor wanted!
I have a Dyno monitor and they are as rare as hens teeth so its worth quite a bit of money now.
Yes its worth 200 pounds if its in good condition or near new sorry, you simply cannot buy one now.
I would sell mine for the equivalent or about NZ$400 at least. Its worth more than a new PM5.

Re: Dyno's "Force" monitor wanted!
Thanks for your reply, Carl!
Treasure for one may be a junk for another one
Hence I am still hoping.
I got whole the Dyno setup (machine + PM2) in mint condition for those 200 pounds and being a poor student it is a bit hard for me to double that price by simply buying actually the same PM2 with just modified screen and FW.
I don't mind to pay 50-70 gbp for original dyno monitor but for 200 GBP (AKA 225 EUR AKA NZ$400) I'd rather leave it for fine art connoisseurs

Re: Dyno's "Force" monitor wanted!
The PM2 wasn't a firmware based monitor. The Dyno PM2 was wired differently.
That's why you can only replace it with a Dyno PM2 and that's why it is so damned expensive.
You're unlikely to find a replacement so the £200 one is your best option.

Re: Dyno's "Force" monitor wanted!
For clarity the Dyno monitor was a PM2+ board but the micro has totally different firmware and the screen is totally different with different text on the keypad.
They are really really rare so essentially your whole machine is just a piece of Art without it.
Sorry but a monitor for a Dyno in like new condition is easily worth as much as a new PM5.
Whats wrong with the monitor on it now ? I repair them if you still have it.

Re: Dyno's "Force" monitor wanted!
Nothing wrong except it is not the Dyno's monitor but rather a "normal" PM2, thus shows not the force/reps etc but all the SPM/500m ave/ etc as it does on usual rower.Carl Watts wrote: ↑October 22nd, 2018, 4:19 pmWhats wrong with the monitor on it now ? I repair them if you still have it.

Re: Dyno's "Force" monitor wanted!
Hmmm I'm now a bit baffled - mine Dyno has just normal PM2 (with the erg screen layout) and that monitor works up there. How can it be possible then?
PS all the cables and wheel mount PCB are original (Dyno's ??) one - at least there is "coiled" cable which comes from wheel module to monitor and it fits into PM2 normally and PM2 works (but well, it shows meters pace etc, but works as it used to be on rower.)

I serviced a Model C rower a while back and it had a Dyno monitor on it !
Yes its works but its not giving you the information you need.

Re: Dyno's "Force" monitor wanted!
Carl, I read you repair them. I have a monitor that has some corrosion on the board and a cracked capacitor non operational but power to capacitor. I have written to Concept 2 and received a partial schematic. Looking for someone to repair ?

Re: Dyno's "Force" monitor wanted!
Its possibly worth repairing a Dyno monitor but not your standard PM2 for the rower.
If you have just the standard PM2 on the rower, buy a new PM5.
You can find me here.
