Wrong values in Honor Board

Post by FooTheBar » May 13th, 2018, 9:52 am

I just had a look a the 2018 Honor Board.
The first three entries are these:
Pos. Athlete Age Location Country Affililation Total Average Projected
1 Charles Carroll 70 San Francisco, CA USA (TAO) 1,728,874m 132,990m 48,541,350m
2 Anthony Groff 42 IL USA 1,721,661m 132,435m 48,338,775m
3 Ilkhan Akyürek 42 GER 1,686,193m 129,707m 47,343,055m
Averages over 100km look a bit strange. The first athlete has released it's log and this is the strange run:

Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M
27:28.0 1,677,720m 0:00.4 12
5:00.0 793m 3:09.1 52 478 13
5:00.0 812m 3:04.7 56 491 13
5:00.0 818m 3:03.3 57 495 12
5:00.0 814m 3:04.2 56 492 12
5:00.0 823m 3:02.2 58 499 13
2:28.0 391m 3:09.2 52 477 11
It's a normal 3m/500m Session but the total distance is completely messed up. Looks like some bug. Is that a known problem with the Honor board?

Definitely not a manual entry prevaricator or “duff”rower. Does his half hour “just row” like a good lad but his monitor keeps two sets of books? Lovely. :?

I wrote something to the contact as Citroen proposed. The bug is even within a verified session...

I have seen negative lap distances when uploading from RowPro to the C2 online log. I wonder if this could be related. Can you see how the row was uploaded - C2 Utility, Ergdata, RowPro or something else?

Edit: Silly question. You have provided the link. It was uploaded from Ergdata Android, so not related to my RowPro experience.

Wow thats totally messed up. Not sure how that happens but there is already a known bug if you try and row at really low ratings like that.

Looks like a deliberate attempt to fake the results using the bug to me.

Always been the one for a verified annual meters board but I guess its a bit pointless if you can still get results like this at the top of the board.

All other logbk entries for 18/19 look legit to me. 11 to 13spm average for most. Pace is pretty consistent. If it’s a low rate bug, it should affect most of his dailies. I doubt the gentleman is even checking his logbk frequently so most likely isn’t aware of the anomaly.
