No "Turn Wireless ON" option on PM5

Post by MattZ65 » July 8th, 2017, 1:45 pm

Hi. New forum member here hoping to get some assistance with a wireless issue.

My local gym has five Concept2 rowers, all with the PM5 module. On on of them when i go to Menu > More Options there is an option to "Turn Wireless ON" which allows me to connect the LiveRowing app on my iPhone. The other four rowers do NOT have this option, just a blank spot on the menu between "Connect Heart Rate" and "Information". I'd really like to enable the wireless option on the other rowers so I don't have to rely on just the one that currently has the option enabled. I've attached pictures to show exactly what I'm talking about.

Any assistance in getting this resolved would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Upgrade it with a Ver22 firmware on USB stick or a laptop running the utility and a USB-A to USB-B (printer) cable.

You need V22 to run Ergdata. It took about 8 mins when I ran that in a hotel gym on their lonely ergo.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've got the firmware on a USB stick and will upgrade this afternoon.

Updating the firmware did the trick and was really easy. The only issue I ran into is that the USB stick needs to be formatted FAT32 and mine had been formatted NTFS. After reformatting everything went smooth silk.

THANKS!
