I have a Garmin 910XT which I pair with my PM4. Historically this has worked fine for capturing my workouts on the watch automatically, but also historically I have only ever done simple rows, with no intervals (e.g. 4km row, laps every 800m) and this has been captured faithfully on the 910XT, with a lap every 800m and both distance and time being pretty much spot on.
However, recently I started doing intervals, using one of the supplied custom workouts 1:40/0:20r...9, and this is where things started to get very crazy on the watch. Apparently randomly (I cannot see any order to the behaviour), the distances being record in the intervals (both active and rest intervals) on the watch are sometimes correct and sometimes wrong (wrong in both directions, i.e. longer and shorter). The watch does correctly register each lap and the times for these laps are pretty much correct, just some of the distances are off.
Has anyone else experienced this, or is anyone in a position to test it out? I have latest firmware on both the PM4 and the watch.
Using Garmin 910XT to record interval workouts
Re: Using Garmin 910XT to record interval workouts
Had the same experience two days ago after my gym finally upgraded the firmware on the PM4 so I could connect with my Garmin 210.
Tried 10x500m and some intervals was recorded with correct distance, other was recorded with 1km??
