I'm a member of LA Fitness and they have ergs at some of their locations. Not sure about the gyms in any of your specific locations, though.
You can always try looking up any rowing teams in the cities you are going to and seeing if you can drop by and use an erg. I know there are a couple of rowing teams in Miami like Miami Rowing Club and Miami Beach Rowing Club.
Lastly, something I've done in the past, is to check out local cross-fit gyms. Almost every cross-fit gym nowadays has C2 ergs. It can be hard to get them to let you use one outside of a class, but depending on the gym and the people who run them you could get lucky.

Hi,
your best bet when visiting the US is to use google maps to find the closest Crossfit gym to wherever you are staying. I have had a great experience doing this in Dallas, San Diego, Orange County, San Jose, Chicago and Tucson. I find the gym, drop them an email letting them know that I am travelling on business and could I drop in to use an erg. Generally they charge 10 bucks or so for the visit, and will give you a break if you are in town for a longer period.
The good thing about Crossfit gyms is that they use the rowers on a daily basis and they are well maintained. In other health clubs, it can be really hit or miss about how well they work.

I'm a little late chiming in on this thread...but at least in CA and NV there is a large commercial gym chain called 24-Hour Fitness. Every one I have been to has at least one erg and usually two. I believe their drop in rate is $10 or $15 and I'm sure there are several locations in or close to Venice and Hermosa. In Las Vegas, I can think of seven locations that I have been to over the years if you include Henderson, NV. Enjoy the 108-112 degree weather!

In Manhattan NYSC Fitness https://www.mysportsclubs.com is running a deal where you can get five days for five dollars to check them out. At least one of their gyms has a Concept 2 at it.
I'm in somewhat the same boat (ha!) because I moved to Manhattan and had to put my Concept 2 into storage because of a small apartment. I don't want to pay a ton for a gym just to get access to a Concept 2, but I really like rowing. I assume the NYSC thing won't work repeatedly. I'll be reading any Manhattan responses below.
