Hi new to rowing & the community.

Hello everyone! I acquired myself an almost brand new model E with pm5 a few weeks ago after a couple months of searching, only 58k lifetime meters on it when i purchased it. I have fancied a rower for a while, as it's not something i have done before and felt it would be an interesting change of fitness direction... mountain biking has always been my thing as a form of fitness. I must say, i am so glad i got the rower, and believe it was definitely the right decision!!! Now i have developed what i think is a fairly decent rowing technique after watching some Shane Farmer instructional videos. I am currently following the "medium" workout of the day on the Concept 2 official website. Been following that for the past couple weeks, and really enjoy that level right now. I also recently done a few HIT sessions, of 20 seconds on, 10 seconds rest, 8-10 rounds. Really enjoying everything thus far, and hope my interest and enthusiasm only grows even more for rowing :) Anyway, i just wanted to say Hi, and look forward to frequenting here on regular occasions and engaging in some discussions etc. This place seems like a great place to be, especially to learn & pickup good info for novices like myself.

Welcome to Concept2 and the forum.

Great decision with the erg. I bought my model D 8/23/15 and it's been a life changer. Starting from a love-hate relationship with to "can't wait to get home to row" took a couple of months, but I've joined the Million Meter Club and lost about 18 lbs.

Keep rowing - it only gets better every day.

Hi,

Thank you, for the warm welcome to the community! I am really enjoying my time here so far.. lots of great information here as well to learn from.

My whole approach to rowing was to start out right, learning a good technique etc before even thinking about rowing some meters! Then i wanted to make my time on the rower feel like an enjoyable experience, rather than a chore i would become quickly fed up with. Following the "medium" Concept 2 workouts of the day has certainly made my short time experience of rowing be an enjoyable one thus far. I always look forward to getting on the rower right now, even if it's just for a 10 minute light session, i enjoy the whole rowing experience. Like i said before, i am so glad i got the rower :D

Regards
