knee problem

Post by newby5 » April 6th, 2006, 9:40 pm

I have tried changing footplate and using flat shoes'and I still feel soreness on inside of one knee. How long does it take for your body to adjust?
Would it help to send in a tape to see if my form is ok? I am open for any suggestions.

Are your legs parallel or are your knees pointed out at an angle? If not parallel, try that for a bit.

im pretty sure it depends on where you push off with you feet on the foot boards, make sure you push with the balls of your feet. I had a similar problem.

I keep my legs straight and made sure I pushed off with the balls of my feet tonight and it really made a difference.Thank you both for the suggestions.

Knee Pain

Post by gwjones » April 8th, 2006, 10:53 am

By *not* pushing straight with your legs (the best indicator is to feel the pressure on the balls of your feet), you put a lot of pressure on your Medial Collateral Ligaments, resulting in tendonitis and causing some pain and discomfort.

Changing your form is the first thing - and you've done that. If you continue to have some pain and/or discomfort, ice your knees for 20 minutes after yuor workout.

Good luck!
