USB FlashDrive overload

Post by Mellios » September 26th, 2015, 2:54 pm

Hi there, Just got my machine (model D, PM5) and did my first row. All went well until I stuck a flash drive into the monitor to download my stats and something went wrong.

A USB icon flashed up on the screen intermittently with a ? in it and then I got an error message saying FlashDrive Overload.

I have had a look through the concept2 website and the only mention I can find about this is ensuring that the flashdrive is formatted to FAT or FAT32, I have tried two drives, one set up to FAT and one to FAT32 and they both get an error message from the monitor so I have no way of uploading my stats.

Also my machine didn't come with a USB to connect to my laptop so I'm gonna have to go buy one of them too.

Has anyone got any idea if I need to do anything specific with the flashdrive when it's plugged into the monitor to sort this problem out?

Thanks, As for the rowing machine - It's perfect.

If you've got a USB printer you can use the USB-A to USB-B printer cable to connect your PM5 to your laptop.

First thing to do is upgrade the firmware to the latest and greatest.

Yeah I checked my printer last night after I set up the machine and realised the cable was missing, my printer is a wireless one so has no usb. Been looking all round the house trying to find one on any old bit of equipment but no joy.

Hopefully once I get a cable and update the firmware this issue will resolve itself.

Thanks for your help though.
