I am travelling again this week and the hotel I am in doesn't have a C2 so it will need to wait until the weekend.

BTW. I managed a 5 minute run last night only 8 KPH but not too much discomfort and no pain this morning and so am feeling very good about state of recovery.

Really not sure what pace to go at for the 10K.
I think I will try and get under 37 mins. It means I will probably go off at 1.55 and see how I feel at half way and hopefully speed up from there.

Top rowing everyone! Tried again yesterday but couldn't get anywhere near previous best - perhaps Brendin has a point about rowing in the morning. Godfried, I'll do my best to catch you but you seem in super form at the moment, especially after your injury. Congrats on your recovery!

I'm only above you because I scored 100 bonus points for completing all distances (with my marathon back in September). I'm not updating any of my nonathlon scores, though, because I'm LWT now, and either my LWT scores ranked as HWT, or vice versa, wouldn't be consistent. I'll just leave it as it is, and start anew in May.

I don't know about the 10k suiting me... I just think I didn't try that hard when I did the first one. Well, it was my first row for 6 weeks, and my first 10k in even longer, so I didn't really know how fast to go. The one a couple of days ago was paced against the first one, and I knew I could do that pace. The mental game, as ever, really.

30 seconds off again next time would be good... I don't think I'll get anywhere near my (HWT) PB though. =)

I have to say that Phil has being trying to motivate me to take up erging for two years but these challenges are really inspiring me and also the support I am getting from you guys.

It was only a matter of time before I was in Taff III but glad to be part of TA cos the enthusiam is fantastic. What we need now is a few more people to put times in then You and I are not billy no mates. i shall be certainly trying to improve my time in the next couple of days.I think that 43. 30 might be feasible so get your reply ready

May have to move the erg outside as it was a bit unpleasant in our conservatory when the sun came out last time!

Brilliant row Carla and thanks for letting me have my moment for a few days, your leg must be better.

Team Decision Needed

A new category of "Teams and Clubs" has been created on the UK site and Daren's started off a Taff Attack thread. This is a great opportunity for us to raise the profile of the team in the UK and get more members.

Recently there's been a lot of recruitment into team Oarsome and the MAD team and I'd like to see more coming our way.

So, what do you say for "moving" all communications over to the UK site (link below):

Hi Steve,

Haven't tried it yet. I've got it loaded on the PC and my Model D's within range. Will fire it up tonight (probably around 6pm) and see how it goes.

My personal preference is to have the Taff Attack thread on the UK forum, but that's mainly because I feel part of the UK site's community as a whole, while the TA thread is pretty much the only reason I visit this forum at all (and occasional SDK questions). I read every category of the UK forum, but don't here. Overall, I think the UK forum is more friendly and cosy, but that's purely subjective.

As far as representation for the UK racing and event scene goes, we'd pick up more active members by posting on the UK forum, I think.

On the other hand, Taff Attack is an international team. I wouldn't want our non-UK team members to feel that they were in some way second-class just because we decided to move to a UK-centric forum rather than a US-centric one.

I agree with all the points made by Daren.

With respect to not alienating our "international" members, I feel that as we're a Welsh team, the team "HQ" should be on the UK site.

I'd be interested to hear the views of our International friends.

As am international team member I am horrified that you would drop us like this - Do you have any hard evidence that the move will help recruitment

I'm easy - it's just a computer screen thousands of miles away from everyone - I'm even a two and a half hour flight away from Aussie Taff

But... You have done a pretty good job of recruiting Internationals 18 of 54 that's a third of the team. It would be a shame not to have some way of continuing this

Re: moving to UK site
OK with me, I guess.  I suppose it doesn't matter where I click to.  I feel more comfy here but that's just habit.  It does seem to make sense.  Most of the Taffs that are not in the UK are also actually not Welsh, I think! So as far as recruiting Welsh ex-pats, I'm not sure the .com site really does it.
